Teenager robbed in Brighton

Police are appealing for witnesses after a teenager was robbed in an unprovoked attack in Brighton.

The 18-year-old local man was walking along Church Street when he was approached by two men described as white, aged 25-30 and wearing grey tracksuits, who asked what football team he supports.

When he replied “Millwall, the suspects kicked him to the ground and continued to kick him in the head. It is suspected others may have joined in before they all made off, possibly in a car.

The suspects also stole the victim’s bag containing work tools and his mobile phone. He was left shaken and with minor injuries.

The incident occurred about 2am on Friday (19 April) close to the junction with New Road.
