Salesmen from Germany invades Swedish Lapland

Six hundred of Germanys top salesmen in the travel industry will visit Swedish Lapland in two groups between November 25 and December 2, for the prestigious event Dertour Academy.

This is number 39 of their Academy and earlier they have visited for example Cape Town, Paris, Dubai, Beijing, and Las Vegas.

The main activities will be held in the town Kiruna with surroundings, as for example in Jukkasjärvi, where the famous ICEHOTEL is located. As post tours they will visit most of the destination Swedish Lapland to try out the products they have in their catalogue.

-       It is a great victory to get this big event in hard international competition, and it shows that the destination Swedish Lapland is an attractive and competitive destination in the world, says Erica Mattsson, Managing Director of Kiruna Lappland.

Dertour is Germanys second largest tour operator and their sales in Sweden is today about 84.000 guest nights each year. The experience from other destinations visited by Dertour Academy shows a sales increase with 25 per cent.
