The train marks the first of the 21 nine-car Pendolinos to have a carriage converted. When finished, the project will create an extra 5,500 standard class seats a day, a net increase of 2,100.

Free parking spaces temporarily reduced at Selly Oak train station

Public transport co-ordinator Centro will systematically close a section of the station's 445 space Park and Ride facility in seven separate phases between Monday April 13 and Friday May 18 (inclusive).
