In cooperation with Plantagon’s partner, Sweco, a new generation of greenhouses for urban agriculture has been designed. The growing area can be attached to existing high-rise building or built-in from the start in new commercial buildings such as offices and hotels.

Plantagon Vertical Greenhouse

May 10, 2011 12:10 BST Plantagon International AB As more and more people move to expanding cities, farming will be pushed further away from population centers. The result of this is longer transportation routes, less fresh products, increased reliance on petroleum-based fertilizers and more high-intensity monoculture farming. In response to this challenge, Plantagon has developed a vertical space-efficient greenhouse for the urban environment.
