This release brings new capabilities to the product that we know you have been waiting for. Amongst other things, these enhancements include the introduction of machine learning along with new advanced authoring capabilities for application and dashboard functionality to better support comparative analysis and guided analytics use cases, and improved visualisation and mapping features.

Qlik’s cognitive machine learning capability is a game-changer in the market place, the unique machine learning capability allows for multi-source precedent-based learning capabilities that leverage information from user interactions, artifacts, and governed business rules all powered by Qlik's cognitive engine. This provides users with relevant, contextual and “smarter” insight suggestions. The innovation doesn’t stop there though, as additional data sources and customisation options will be added for richer insights. In addition to machine learning, Qlik have improved the Insight Advisor with light authoring capabilities allowing users to change suggested visualisations, not only giving users faster and smarter insights, but providing flexibility and control when discovering insights.

Qlik continue to focus on Advanced Authoring, ensuring the most requested features around self-service authoring, consumption, and complex dashboarding are delivered in Qlik Sense. This release includes the ability to perform comparative analysis with alternate states allowing users to define sets of information to compare in two or more visualisations side by side. In addition, Qlik have introduced extension bundling. The new Dashboard Bundle includes the 6 most popular extensions on Qlik Branch, out of the box, and now fully functional and supported by Qlik! This bundle, and the future of extension bundling, is sure to get you excited – enabling new and frequently requested features to the market at a faster pace!

The release also includes two new log files making it easier to maintain high levels of QlikView app and server performance – one validates engine performance and pinpoints inefficiencies, and the other identifies areas within the application that consume the most resources.
