Carsten Dilling becomes new CEO of TDC

TDC is now ready to present the new CEO and Head of Group. It is Carsten Dilling, who until now has been Senior Executive Vice President of TDC Operations. Carsten Dilling is 50 years old and has been a member of TDC's Corporate Management Team since 2007. In 2011 he was appointed Group Chief Operating Officer (COO).

Chairman of the Board of Directors explains the choice of the new CEO:
"The Board of Directors is very happy that Carsten Dilling now assumes the position as head of TDC. Carsten possesses a unique insight into the business of TDC and in all the various TDC processes, and he will ensure the continuation of the solid development of the group. He is – together with the other members of the Corporate Management Team – deeply involved in the strategy process, which will provide the direction of the group during the coming years. Finally I wish to underline that Carsten with his background as CEO and Managing Director of several IT companies comes with a very strong commercial track record.

Carsten Dilling is delighted at the possibility of heading the future development of TDC:
"I am of course very happy that the Board of Directors has given me this opportunity. TDC has come very far during the last years and is today a very strong business well positioned for the future. It has been uncommonly exiting to have been part of the Corporate Management Team during the years when we have gone from being at the bottom to being one of the most profitable telcos in Europe. During the same period the task of ensuring better customer experience and motivated employees has gained considerable speed. I look forward to contributing to the continuation of this development as CEO."

The current strategic plan of TDC expires by the end of the year and Carsten Dilling explains that the company will soon be able to present the result of the strategy work currently ongoing to update the strategy towards 2015:
"The strategic direction, which was laid out in connection with the re-introduction of TDC on Nasdaq OMX towards the end of 2010 has provided strong results for the group. This platform will also be the foundation for the ongoing update of the group's strategy towards 2015, which I expect to be able to present during Q4 of this year, when we have synchronized the strategy with the budget-process."

Carsten Dilling assumes the position as CEO and Head of Group today. However, Henrik Poulsen will during a transition period until late August serve as advisor to Carsten Dilling.

There is not yet any decision as to who will succeed Carsten Dilling as Senior Executive Vice President of TDC Operations, and for the time being Carsten Dilling will continue in this function.
