Press release -

New Group CEO/President of TDC

Today, Pernille Erenbjerg takes over the position as Group CEO and President of TDC after Carsten Dilling. She has been employed with TDC since 2003, and since 2011 as member of the Executive Committee in the position as Group CFO. In January 2015, she was appointed Deputy CEO.

Chairman of the Board, Vagn Sørensen, says the following about the change of Group CEO/President of TDC:

“For more than 3 years, Carsten Dilling has been heading TDC and he has done an excellent and decisive job in relation to the continuous development and enhancement of the efficiency of TDC. From being a classic telecom business, TDC is now a leading communications solutions and entertainment business in a Scandinavian perspective. I would like to emphasise as well that Carsten has succeeded in turning TDC’s Customer Satisfaction in a positive direction. I would like to thank him for the great and important work.”

Vagn Sørensen motivates the selection of Pernille Erenbjerg:

“I believe it is healthy for any company to continuously challenge itself and every once in a while that also requires a change in top management. Per definition, the role as CEO is time limited and we have made a joint decision that it is time for that change. It is the Board’s clear view that Pernille has the right profile to further develop TDC with a steady hand. With her deep knowledge of the entire business and her strong financial background, she can ensure that we continuously develop TDC as market leader in a very dynamic and competitive market”.

Pernille Erenbjerg herself comments on the opportunity to take charge of the continuous development of TDC:

“I am obviously happy that the Board has given me this opportunity. It is no secret that our Danish business is under significant pressure, but together with our competent managers and employees I am looking forward to taking up the challenge. We will focus on creating even better communications solutions and entertainment products in Scandinavia and continuously work to improve the customer experience. As market leader, it is for TDC to take the customers’ hand and guide them safely into a future and a society where digitalisation is a key word. At the same time we shall ensure that TDC in the short as well as long run is a solid business with the financial muscles which are necessary to continue the investments – for the benefit of customers, shareholders, employees and the society, which we are a part of”.

Carsten Dilling, who has been a part of TDC’s corporate management team since 2007, says the following about the time in TDC:

“During my time as a member of the Executive Committee of TDC, I have taken part in making a lot of decisions and have among other things completed a number of important acquisitions, which have contributed to making TDC the strong, Scandinavian business, which TDC is today. It is a time of my life that I am very proud of and it has been a pleasure every day to be surrounded by competent and committed colleagues and to have the opportunity of playing against – and with - a top professional Board. Pernille and I have always had an excellent and trustful cooperation, she is well prepared for the task and therefore she is the absolute right choice to open the next chapter in TDC’s history. Personally, I am looking forward to trying something new after more than 8 exciting years in TDC”.

Carsten Dilling retires as Group CEO/President today by mutual agreement with the Board. It has been agreed that for the next months Carsten Dilling will be at Pernille Erenbjerg’s disposal as advisor.

A new Group CFO has not been appointed, yet, and for the present Pernille Erenbjerg will continue to attend to this function.
