Telenor Norge has a strong eSIM department that has worked to establish the company's own eSIM platform. Following a thorough process, the company has now been certified to use the eSIM solution by GSMA, the organisation which coordinates the interests of all mobile operators worldwide.

Kongsberg is to become the first town in Norway which Telenor will pilot 5G technology. Autonomous buses, drones, emergency communication and eHealth are just some of the applications which may be trialled.

Furthermore, five out of ten still register orders using paper-based methods. Telenor is now launching a number of IT solutions and mobile phone apps for overworked businesses in the service and trades industries.

Telenor Norway is reorganising its mobile division for the private market, and a small department in Fixed & TV located at Gjøvik will be closed. In total, approximately 80 employees will be made redundant. The changes are part of the Telenor digitalisation plan.
