Help develop the BCI's webinar programme

Blog post   •   Dec 06, 2013 12:32 GMT

Who has taken part in a webinar (web based seminar) before? For the benefit of my own professional development I frequently take advantage of them as they offer a great opportunity to enhance learning by allowing classroom style teaching in the comfort of your own home, at your desk or perhaps in a coffee shop (although do remember to wear a headset or you may lose popularity extremely quickly). Students can interact with the instructor and have all their questions answered without the time and expense of travelling to the classroom.

Should you be unable to join the webinar, or perhaps you did join it but want to reflect back on what was said, you can always watch it in full after the event.

The BCI is currently in the process of reviewing the way we provide webinars with a view to drawing up a programme for 2014 that better suits the needs of those working in the profession. During 2014 we will host at least one webinar per month as well as ad hoc webinars for specific occasions such as the Business Continuity Awareness Week (17-21 March) or the BCM World Conference. These webinars will be FREE to all our members.

As for the topic of these webinars, that is up to you. This is your Institute so please do tell us what it is you would like us to cover. What are the burning issues that you feel are not given enough attention at the moment? Email your suggestions to: andrew.scott@thebci.org.
