The Swedish Chamber of Commerce for the UK will be hosting a seminar on social responsibility at Regent’s College on 1 February 2011, inviting high profile speakers from business and politics in the United Kingdom and Sweden, including Rt Hon Stephen Timms, Labour MP and Shadow Chancellor, David Reid, Chairman of Tesco plc and Mårten Andersson, CEO Skandia Nordic to name but a few.

The Swedish Chamber of Commerce for the UK launches north east England Chapter with seminar on internationalism and technology in Newcastle on 7 October

Sweden strengthens its position in north east England. In May 2010 the Swedish Chamber of Commerce opened a regional Chapter in Newcastle serving the north east region. The Chapter will now be launched officially with a trade seminar on doing business in the north east of England and in Sweden on 7 October, in the presence of H.E. Nicola Clase, Ambassador of Sweden to the Court of St James’s.

The 103rd Annual General Meeting of the Swedish Chamber of Commerce for the UK was held at The Landmark London Hotel on 4 June and saw quite a few changes and additions to the council, including the election of Paul von der Heyde as new Chairman and Dr Beatrice Engström-Bondy as new Vice-Chairman.

Sweden strengthens its position in north east England. In May 2010 the Swedish Chamber of Commerce opens Chapter in Newcastle-upon-Tyne serving the north east region. The Chapter will aim to link, develop and inform about Anglo-Swedish business and trade.
