Team SCT pound the pavements and raise an incredible £24,000

This year The Sick Children’s Trust had an amazing 50 runners in the BUPA Great North Run and together they have raised an astounding £24,000 which will sponsor six bedrooms for a year in Crawford House, our ‘Home from Home’ at the Royal Victoria Infirmary.

The Mini, junior and full Great North Runs took place on the weekend and many of our runners met at Crawford House before heading to the start line of the iconic race.

Caroline O’Doherty, Campaigns and Appeals Manager says “Our Great North Runners have been a great team this year, a group of individuals who together have raised a fantastic amount of money for The Sick Children’s Trust. It is always wonderful to see so many of our families taking part and raising money for our ‘Homes from Home’ across the UK. Their spirit, determination and positivity is an inspiration to everyone involved with the charity.”
