Last year, Amy Inman donated a kidney to her daughter, Flo. Flo was born with a range of complex birth defects which meant countless nights in Leeds Children's Hospital. Her family have been supported by Eckersley House on five occasions, with it become a 'Home from Home' for Amy, Dickie and Flo's sister, Tilly.

When Patricia was three months old she was diagnosed with a tumour in her liver. Despite chemotherapy to shrink the tumour, Patricia needed a full liver transplant. Her mum, Sophie, was a suitable match and earlier this year donated part of her liver. We supported Andrew and Sophie at Eckerlsey House.

George was rushed to Leeds Children's Hospital following an intestinal bleed that to this day doctors don't know what caused it. During his time in Leeds, his parents Paul and Jen were given a place to stay at Eckersley House and to say thanks Paul is running the Great North Run to raise money for The Sick Children's Trust.

Emily went into labour at home when she was just 27 weeks pregnant, where Max delivered their twin sons on the bathroom floor. Both Zachary and Dexter were incredibly ill and needed specialist treatment at Leeds Children's Hospital, where we gave the couple a place to stay at Eckersley House. Tragically, Zachary passed away at three days old and the couple are now fundraising in his memory.
