Valentin&Byhr house of communication knows no limits

The new strategy is as clear as the new profile and website. Valentin&Byhr has set its sights on the international market. “The development of our house of communication has changed the agency from the ground up – and you can see it both in the way we work and our new look,” says CEO Magnus Valentin.

About six or seven years ago Magnus Valentin noticed that clients were increasingly asking for holistic solutions, and this gave birth to the idea of a one-stop house of communication. He started bringing aboard the kind of expertise not normally found in advertising agencies. Today Valentin&Byhr has grown significantly and its team encompasses experts in areas as diverse as app development, online PR and traditional advertising.

“At the same time we’re very careful not to divide our team into separate disciplines,” relates Magnus Valentin. “We want to help our clients tell their story and achieve the success they want. So we’re entirely objective in our choice of channels, selecting exactly the blend that is best for each individual assignment.”

As the house of communication matured, so too the agency’s new business strategy emerged. The result is a decision to focus strongly on the international market and big-name global brands.

“We’re ready for the really major challenges and are the natural choice when international customers are looking for a Nordic partner. It’s a truly thrilling ride we have ahead of us together with our current and new clients,” says Magnus Valentin.

The house of communication will continue to grow, not least as regards digital communication. There is a clearly identified strategy to have the in-house technical competence required by the market.

As a way of highlighting the change at Valentin&Byhr, a new graphic profile and a new website have been produced. Nicklas Hultman, Art Director, explains:

“The new logotype, the emblem, reflects our businesslike professionalism and at the same time embraces the playful and the creative elements we embody. The whole design language is subdued, discreet. Our aim is to spotlight our clients while we stay behind the scenes.”
