The new iPad has been announced this week, with many new changes to set to feature. These features include a brand new retina display which will not allow you to see pixels at virtually all times, quad-core graphics, an A5X processor and also a 5-megapixel rear camera; dubbed iSight, that can record video in 1080p.

The camera also has a unique feature where it will automatically stabilise a wobbly hand, meaning your 1080p HD video won't be ruined by a slightly wobbly hand.

However, one of the most interesting things with the new iPad is that the screen shape or size hasn't changed at all. This means, confirmed by GearZap.com, than an iPad 2 screen protector will work on it to prevent scratches occuring.

In other words, what GearZap are saying is that all new iPad screen protectors will also work with the iPad 2, and vice versa. This has led to easier purchases for the consumer, meaning they won't have to figure out which product they need - the question "is this an iPad 3 screen protector?" will not be needed. It also means that manufacturers will not need to create new products, meaning products will be in stock on GearZap in time for the iPad 3 / new iPad release day.

To pick up a new iPad screen protector (essentially just one of a number of different manufacturers' iPad 2 screen protectors) just head to GearZap.com.

GearZap are one of the biggest online retailers for electronic accessories and offer a same day dispatch service if you order before 6pm.
