Moroccan television and representatives from the technical university, workshops and the Chamber of Commerce of Morocco were in place in Casablanca when AUTOCOM appointed its new Moroccan distributor MarocDiag. This appointment enhances the AUTOCOM’s aim to further strengthen its presence across the globe with its diagnostics products for cars and trucks.

AUTOCOM is currently in an exciting phase and creating new chapters in its corporate history. Top on the list is its efforts to strengthen its global presence especially where emerging markets are concerned. Morocco is a good example where AUTOCOM products can make a big difference with fast and reliable diagnoses, thus contributing to safer vehicles on the road. The Moroccan market is largely composed of modern European and Asian small cars, and matches the content of AUTOCOM vehicle database very well, creating an excellent union for AUTOCOM´s diagnostic products.

The launch took placed in a prestigious congress hall in Casablanca in cooperation with the Moroccan distribution partner, Maroc Diag, who had invited the media and guests which included workshop representatives and students from the University of Technology and Commerce and many more.

“We had never dreamed of this attention when we decided to start to invest in North Africa and Morocco, so we understand that it is an important event and a chance for them to show to the rest of the world that they are developing in the right track”, says Anders Malm, Business Area Manager at AUTOCOM.

Support and Training is an approach that our Morocco distributor strives by.  Education creates an opportunity for the users to have more interaction with the products thus creating more demand for the products. A calendar of training opportunities has been planned for the workshops where they get practical information and useful tips on the utilization of the products. Exchange of information is valuable in this line of work where the participants can further impart their knowledge thus creating benefits for users and setting a good foundation for the business.

The future looks very interesting for AUTOCOM in North Africa. The countries there have a strong growth, together with new constitutional changes in place, democratic processes sprout. “You can tell that something big is happening in this region, there are powerful forces that are in motion and we are pleased to be part of the development”, says Carola Nyvall, Key Account Manager for the Moroccan market.
