The original office was established at 35 Piccadilly in 1980 (preceding another economic recession) during an era when the telex machine was coveted office equipment and there was a waiting list for purchase. Nissen subsequently pioneered the digital exchange telecommunications system which launched the virtual office concept in the UK. He registered the trademark name in 1992 when the Virtual Office Group was established at 211 Piccadilly - after 25 years, the office recently relocated to its current address, 180 Piccadilly, opposite the Royal Academy of Art.
