Google look as if they are testing something again which could be turn out to be absolutely massive!
They are now serving autocomplete search results – straight from the search bar! This could have massive implications for SEO and it ties in with Google putting more emphasis on branded searches.

SEO Implications
This could save the searcher a great deal of time as they will no longer have to wait for a page of results to load before finding the information that they require.
I am also curious to see how this type of search will record in analytics. Will it record as a referral from Google, or will it eventually evolve into telling us what partial phrase searchers were typing in when they got served / clicked the result.
I am also curious to see if we will eventually get autocomplete PPC – this could be a massive revenue stream for Google.
Search has changed massively recently and although it has led to lots of head scratching by SEOs, there is no doubt things are starting to hot up and get very interesting indeed.
