Tea Party Will Provide Information On The Green Deal To Local Businesses

The event being run by Sunshine Energy will take place on the 6^th April 2012 from 11.30am until 2.30pm at the firm’s head office on Easthorpe Street in Ruddington, hopes to teach businesses about the government endorsed energy saving program that the firm is gearing up for.

Intended to be consumer driven, The Green Deal is the coalition Government’s flagship energy and climate change policy. Its aim is to drive the take-up of energy efficiency measures in 14 million homes by 2020, generate £1.4 billion of investment every year for 10 years and create up to 250,000 new jobs. It is due to roll out in October 2012.

Stuart Price, the managing director at Sunshine Energy, says: “Sunshine Energy is now onboard the Green Deal program which I am very pleased about. Embracing solar energy and accepting environmental responsibility is something I regard as highly significant and reducing ones carbon footprint has never been easier.”

Stuart has been passionately involved in environmental issues both locally and nationally for many years. He has recently hit out at Government plans to amend feed in tariffs (FIT’s) for solar installations, encouraged local businesses to show their support, attended rallies in London and contacted his local MP to accentuate the dramatic effects such cuts will have on the environment.
