It’s “Happy Birthday” four times over for tableware: The bestseller series French Garden, NewWave, Anmut and Mariefleur celebrate big birthdays – and are being honored with fresh decors and collection expansions.
French Garden: New Decors for a Historic Design
French Garden revels in the abundance of fresh fruit, combined with the dish design Louis XIV from 1780. Natural fruit motifs, fine edges and lines, vibrant colors – the collection has always maintained its country magic over the course of 20 years. For the anniversary two new decors are being honored: Beaulieu and Antibes demonstrate a more modern interpretation, that’s no less vibrant; they can be perfectly combined with existing decors.
Anmut: Classic Design, Inspiration from the East
Anmut was developed in the 1950s for Villeroy & Boch: a true classic of modernity, an unmistakable elegance with its balanced design and part of the assortment for 15 years. The design has always been a perfect stage for diverse decors, whether strong colors or floral motifs. In 2017 there’s Anmut in the Samarah variation (“soft light”): a gentle paisley décor with golden accents inspired by Indian culture and architecture.
NewWave: Expressive Designs, Striking Surfaces
The dish concept NewWave was immediately groundbreaking in many ways. A completely new production process made a dynamic design possible 15 years ago that revolutionized the international tableware scene. The asymmetric designs and multifunctional pieces have been continuously expanded and updated. In 2017 NewWave appeared in a striking deep gray with an innovative glaze in a stone look – a real eye catcher. Another additions is the elegant flatware series SoftWave, which perfectly matches the design and the new stone look.
Mariefleur: Spring is Coming with New Products
Mariefleur with its French charm quickly became one of the most popular Villeroy & Boch decors – whether in radiant summer colors or Mariefleur gray, whether as coffee and tableware or as a lovely individual piece of the Gift Collection Country. For its fifth birthday Mariefleur Spring decorates the flowers, birds and decoration pieces of the Modern Spring series with gentle motifs and colors. Highlights include a large bowl in the shape of a flower – and little bells in an Easter look.
