Changes to car parking at Stockport station

A new multi-storey car park is to be constructed at Grand Central, close to Stockport station to help with the integration of the station area into the town.  The 1,000 space facility is due to be complete in Spring 2014.To allow construction to proceed there have to be alterations to the existing car parking arrangements and these will commence soon. The first phase will see Car Park 1a close while Car Park 2 will become long stay and Car Park 3 will become short stay. Further changes will take place as the construction programme proceeds and these are all detailed in a special exhibition taking place at Stockport station.  Times of opening are Thursday 7 February 3pm to 6pm, Friday 8 February 8am to 10am, and Saturday 9 February 10am to 1pm.
