VisitScotland Awards Trump Hotel 5 Star Status

MacLeod House & Lodge, Donald J. Trump’s new luxury 19 bedroom hotel at Trump International Golf Links, Scotland has been awarded five-star hotel status by VisitScotland.

The historic Scottish baronial mansion and lodge has been carefully restored and upgraded to offer the highest level of guest accommodation, dining, bar and lounge facilities.  Located in the heart of the Trump estate, MacLeod House & Lodge hotel is brimming with period features and provides opulent superior and grand deluxe guest room with spacious 4 and 5 piece Italian marble en-suites.

Each room is exceptionally well appointed with impressive views, lavish furnishings, silk bedspreads, 48 inch flat screen televisions with full SKY TV packages, Trump branded robes, slippers and many more hallmark Trump touches.

The lounge, whisky snug, bar and dining facilities are open all year round to residents and guests, and provide a wide selection of wines and beverages, and cocktails, bar snacks, lunch, supper, dinner menus and afternoon teas.

Sarah Malone, Executive Vice President of Trump International, stated:  "We’re delighted to be awarded five-star hotel status by VisitScotland.  Quality and service are at the core of everything that we do, and this is great recognition for our team.   MacLeod House & Lodge is open for everyone to enjoy all year round."

Philip Smith, VisitScotland Regional Director, said:  "Golf tourism is hugely important to the region – and indeed Scotland - and I would like to congratulate everyone at Trump International Golf Links on this marvellous achievement. Five-star status shows visitors, many of whom come from overseas, that they can expect a fantastic and enjoyable experience.

With major international events such as this year’s Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, The Ryder Cup at Gleneagles and the Scottish Open in Aberdeen thrusting Scotland into the international spotlight like never before, the quality of our visitor attractions is more important than ever. However, VisitScotland’s world-leading Quality Assurance Scheme is about more than just the stars above the door, it is about the entire visitor experience, and factors such as the warmth of the welcome, excellent facilities, amazing service and, increasingly, value for money are all expected in a holiday."

Open year round and just a short drive from Aberdeen International Airport and the vibrant city centre, MacLeod House & Lodge is an ideal destination for leisure guests, business travellers, golfers and those looking to relax in luxury and style.

Winter season bed & breakfast rates start from £225 per room per night.  Stay and play packages, membership and exclusive use of the facilities are also available.
