The Wales Co-operative Centre, Wales’ leading development organisation for social businesses has achieved the PQASSO Level 2 standard. The Centre, which has offices in Caerphilly, Swansea, Bangor and Carmarthen, gained the award after undertaking a wide reaching internal review process and improving its in-house quality processes and standards.

The winners of Wales Council for Voluntary Action’s (WCVA) prestigious Third Sector Awards Cymru 2014 were announced last night at a gala dinner hosted by BBC Wales presenter Jason Mohammad at the Marriott Hotel, Cardiff. Run by WCVA and supported by voluntary sector services specialist Class Telecommunications, the awards had a shortlist of 19 groups from across the country.

Two Wales Co-operative Centre clients are working together to bring a new cinema experience to Old Colwyn. Charity TAPE, has teamed up with social enterprise, Crest Co-operative, to launch a Sofa Cinema. The Sofa Cinema experience will open on Saturday 31st January from 7pm in Old Colwyn, with a special screening of 'Guardians of the Galaxy' hosted by Hollywood actor, Spencer Wilding.
