Conextion – what’s happening?

Conextion, operational since its inauguration in January 2018, involves and gathers together a large number of life sciences employees, business consultants and representatives from the public support system. To see how we best can serve these interested parties, a number of activities have been tested.

Numerous lunch presentations have been well received by audiences, for example, and topics have included medtech regulations, patent law, financing, organisation development and how to access resources at Uppsala University. Evaluation shows that these events get high ‘Relevance’ and ‘Interesting’ scores. Some visitors would still like to see ´good old PowerPoints’, but they are so far banned from these lunch sessions.

Drop-in for quick advice
A range of business consultants and innovation support individuals work in the Conextion room every week. This opens up a great opportunity for companies to come by for a quick chat to get advice on current topics or find out whom to contact for specific issues.

A CEO network was formed in April for members to share experiences and discuss questions related to Uppsala Business Park. The network is still growing and we hope to be able to include a majority of the park’s CEOs. Our ambition is to build similar networks for different kinds of interest groups – all to help companies and individuals benefit from the vast experience that’s so close to hand.

The future vision for Uppsala Business Park is a fully self-sufficient entrepreneurial district comprising all the necessities for work and play, but also easily accessible from both Uppsala and Stockholm. Conextion is a central part of this vision.

Uppsala BIO’s goal is to help companies grow and stay in Uppsala. To make our region attractive to companies and their employees.
