UMCU and Mentice collaborate in training courses for Basic Catheter and Wire Skills.

September 20th is the first course date of the Basic Catheter and Wire Skills Training course for non-cardiologists at UMCU, University Medical Center Utrecht in the Netherlands. This course marks the start of a new training and teaching center from September 2012 onwards. Course Director is Dr. Pieter R. Stella.
UMCU will use Mentice's VIST-C medical simulators for practicing hands-on cathlab diagnostic procedures.
The learning objectives:
- Identify the optimal materials for diagnostic and interventional cases
- Understand the common procedural steps for PCI and PCI cases
- Understand various imaging modalities for catheter based therapies
- Evaluate and prevent the risks of radioprotection
