NEW YORK (APRIL 10, 2018) – Norwegian, the World’s Best Low-Cost Long-Haul Airline and Airline of the Year 2017, announced the launch of its inaugural service from Oakland International Airport to Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport on April 10, 2018. Its inaugural flight from Denver International Airport to Paris departed on April 9, 2018. Norwegian is the first airline to connect Denver with France.
"Paris continues to be one of the most in-demand destinations within our global network, and we've seen continuous interest for service to this European city," said Thomas Ramdahl, Norwegian's Chief Commercial Officer. "We are very happy to see our relationship with both Denver and Oakland airports continue as we grow our presence in these markets. This new Paris service allows us to further our mission of making affordable travel a reality for even more Americans.
With the addition of this service, Norwegian now operates routes from Denver to London and Paris, and seven routes from Oakland to Barcelona, Copenhagen, London, Oslo, Paris, Rome and Stockholm. All flights are available for sale on Norwegian’s website. Additionally, the website’s low fare calendar displays the lowest available fares to all of Norwegian’s destinations.
Upcoming launches from the U.S. include: Boston to Paris (May 2); New York/JFK to Amsterdam (May 7); Los Angeles to Milan (June 17); Los Angeles to Madrid (July 15); and New York/JFK to Madrid (July 17).
Passengers on all of Norwegian’s routes are eligible to join Norwegian Reward, the airline’s frequent flyer program and can earn CashPoints every time they fly, stay at a hotel or drive a rental car.
Norwegian is the world’s sixth largest low-cost airline and carried 33 million passengers in 2017.
