The combined proficiencies of Planmeca USA and E4D Technologies will benefit clinicians with greater value and technology advancements.

The start of a new year ushers in change, promise, and great expectations. So, with these thoughts in mind, Planmeca USA, and E4D Technologies announce a new organizational restructuring. E4D Technologies will transition the following departments: Sales, Marketing, Education and Customer Support to Planmeca USA effective January 15, 2018.

What does this departmental integration mean? The transition of these departments to Planmeca USA will create a premier, customer-centric organization with greater brand continuity for the Planmeca portfolio. It will ultimately benefit current doctors, and clinicians that we are not currently serving, by offering the combined technologies and proficiencies of two of the dental industry’s most technically advanced companies.

“This merger of the imaging and CAD/CAM lines in all areas of customer contact will allow us to deliver a cohesive message, unified brand, and greater value to our customers and partners through a comprehensive portfolio that provides a unique set of integrated technologies and competencies. We look forward to bringing together the outstanding employees and cultures of both companies as well as the complementary capabilities of our organizations, to position Planmeca at the forefront of a new generation of digital solutions" states Brett Hines, President of Planmeca USA.

“This move will benefit all dental professionals and their patients, as we will now be able to educate, support and promote a seamless line of digital solutions – from diagnosis through restorative and implant therapy. In addition, we can now message through the profession and to key opinion leaders a clear, concise message as well as support and deliver better dentistry,” explains Gary Severance, DDS, Vice President of Learning and Development for Planmeca USA.

Planmeca is one of the largest privately held companies in the dental equipment market. Founded in 1971, it has grown to become a truly global player with distribution in 120 countries and employing over 2,700 employees worldwide. We provide industry-leading imaging, dental units, CAD/CAM and software solutions for all dental specialties and partner with government, universities, and dental service organizations.
