About Mark Ungerer:

Mark Ungerer was known for his extreme generosity as he donated so much of his valuable time to many worthy community causes.  He was awarded the prestigious Isaiah Thomas Award in 1990.  In 1987, he was one of three original organizers of the Worcester Area Jimmy Fund Tournament, later renamed in his honor.  Mark was a man who was deeply committed to his family, friends, and business associates.  He learned early in life from the words of the Trappist monk, Thomas Merton, that the only worthwhile life is one in which one gives back to God and to his fellow man some of what he has been fortunate enough to receive.
