USIA is delighted to present an exhibition of one of the largest private collections of paintings by the eminent contemporary artist and printmaker Agneta Hildén.
Including all her most important oil and acrylic series from 1995-2015. An important artist in contemporary art from Sweden, Agneta feels like:
"What is impossible and rare, that interest me".
Agneta Hildén was born in Sweden, Gavle, in 1959 and it is educated both as architect and artist from Sweden and France. Currently she lives and work in Stockholms archipelago.
Her palette is colorfull and her artworks are studies and research of human body. She expresses a deeper meaning in her artworks and she draws skillful with a typical line. Her artistic design is often from nature and the female body.
She works with to main studies in her artwork, LA Modulor and ODD Realism
La Modulor it´s a study about how the female body naturally express in an male context, in architectural design but exception from our common history. Agneta´s interest for the body movements comes from her times as an young gymnast.
ODD Realism is a deep interest in odd realities. She is interested in what we human being have in common, in different gender, cultures, political system but she also view odd realities that makes us different from each other.
