Where to earn CXP for more Command Ranks?
In Knights of the Eternal Throne, Command Experience Points (CXP) can earn you Command Ranks. Here is a guide how to earn CXP for the higher Commend Ranks.
1. Priority Ops will no longer exist, and Operations will be the daily bonus to award Swtor CXP. Though, lockouts will still remain in place and drop other cosmetic rewards.
2. The highest difficulty Operations and Uprisings, along with Ranked Warzones, are the fastest ways to earn CXP and the end-game gear.
3. You can gain CXP from most activities in the game.
4. You can disintegrate any duplicate or unwanted items into CXP to get your next Crate faster.
Each time your Command Rank increases, you earn a Command Crate. Both PvP and PvE gear will come from Command Crates.
Gear no longer drops from bosses, but from Command Crates
In Swtor next expansion, though cosmetic or unique drops will still remain on the bosses, all gear will be got from Command Crates. For the mechanics, the item type is determined by the Advanced Class and the item rating is determined by Command Rank. The higher your Command Rank, the better gear that will drop from your Command Crates.
The removal of Expertise & commendations impacts both PvP and PvE gear
In Eternal Throne, Current Commendations as well as Expertise will be removed. Any color crystals which have Expertise on them will be converted to “Mastery”. A Valor requirement will replace an Expertise requirement to get into Ranked Warzones. What’s more, PvE and PvP will share the same gear in Eternal Throne.
F2P/Preferred players cannot earn end-game gear
F2P and Preferred players will be unable to earn end-game gear since they will not have access to Galactic Command. If you were a subscriber who went preferred and had earned gear through GC, you will own it forever and still get gear through Crafting, but you cannot earn additional gear through Command Ranks until you subscribe.
Certainly, all those changes are mainly for level 70 gear. For below 70 gear, you can get from all of the normal sources like Flashpoint bosses, Mission drops, etc. The only exception is that you can no longer get gear for Commendations. Besides, the planetary vendors which sold mods for Commendations will now do so for instant swtor credits instead.
