Fundus Camera: A particular low power microscope attached with a camera is known as fundus camera. Its optical design is based on the indirect ophthalmoscope. A fundus camera is described by the angle of view, i.e. the optical angle of acceptance of the lens. An angle of 30 degree is considered as the normal angle of view which creates a film image nearly 2.5x larger than life while wide angle fundus cameras capture images between 45 degree and 140 degree and provide proportionately less retinal magnification. An angle of 20 degree or less is considered as a narrow angle fundus camera.
