Kite surfer, Matthew Elsasser, from the United States, has been named the winner of Thule’s video competition “Go Epic with Thule”. The competition was designed to allow all active people, who participate in a number of action sports, to easily compete against each other by sharing their videos of their own sports adventure. As the winner of the competition, Matthew Elsasser, will have the joy and honor to be the next sidekick to Thule Crew member and professional kite surfer Niccolo Porcella in his next video.
OnSeptember 30, 2013 Thule, together with Epic TV, one of the world’s largest on-line extreme sports channels, launched the competition for lovers of kite surfing, surfing, snowboarding, skiing, biking and adventure racing, “Go Epic with Thule”.
“After ten weeks of competition we’ve received more than 200 amateur and semiprofessional videos from 28 countries capturing the participants adventure racing, biking, kite surfing, skiing, snowboarding and surfing. We feel this was tremendous success,” says Tina Liselius, Event and Sponsorship Manager. “Matthew Elsasser was elected as the overall and final winner by our jury and I am sure he will have a fantastic experience together with Niccolo by being his sidekick,” ends Tina.
Matthew is a passionate kite surfer from the USA competing on the KSP tour. Always on the move kiting, surfing, biking and trying to do anything and everything outside. The 20 years old is originally from Oregon and is, nowStudying in California. Watch his winning video on www.epicthule.com.

The Thule Crew members have actively been participating in the competition; as part of the jury as well as sharing their own material.
Biking was the most popular category with 61
