Olink Genomics appoints a new Chairman of the Board

With effect from October 2010, Mårten Winge replaces Mats Nilsson as Chairman of the Board. Mats stays on as a member of the board. Most recently, Mr. Winge served as CEO of Proxeon A/S, a company acquired by Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. in April, 2010. Mårten has over 20 years experience in the biotech tools industry. Beginning with positions in marketing and sales in Amersham Biosciences (formerly Pharmacia Biotech and now part of GE Healthcare), Mårten has held executive management roles since 1999, when he joined Pyrosequencing AB (now Qiagen). As VP of Marketing at Pyrosequencing, Mårten successfully developed and commercialized a novel technology into an established industry platform and brand. He then co-founded Olink AB where he also held a management position and he has headed up the marketing function at Cellectricon AB. Mårten holds a Master of Science from the Karolinska Institute, Sweden.

Olink Genomics is pleased to announce that Maria Hjortsmark recently joined the company as Chief Business Officer. Prior to joining Olink Genomics, Mrs. Hjortsmark worked as Senior Brand Manager at Phadia AB, a specialty company in allergy and autoimmune disease diagnostics. Maria begun her career at Pharmacia Biotech (now part of GE Healthcare) and has nearly 20 years experience from product management, marketing and sales. She has performed a variety of roles in companies such as Pyrosequencing AB (now Qiagen).Maria holds a BSc in Molecular Biology from the University of Uppsala.
