TARRYTOWN, N.Y., Jan. 21, 2010 — Stephen Dowdell, a seasoned business journalist, has joined RetailConnections as Vice President of Editorial, effective immediately.
Dowdell brings to RetailConnections more than 20 years of experience as a respected editor and reporter. He was most recently Editor in Chief of Progressive Grocer magazine at Nielsen Business Media and before that held senior editorial positions at Supermarket News and other Fairchild Publications/Condé Nast Media newspapers and magazines.

In his new role, Dowdell will spearhead educational program content for the RetailConnections Fresh Forum, April 14-16, 2010, at the Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort & Spa in San Antonio. The Fresh Forum, which features speakers from the USDA, retail and other thought leaders, focuses on food safety issues and optimizing the perishables operations.
