In this guide we are going tackle the reoccurring “Siege of Neverwinter” event. The Cult of the Dragon occasionally rallies its forces, attacking the city. And it doesn’t look like they’ll ever learn! Snap up neverwinter astral diamond with 6% off to join Siege Battlefield. So adventurers are tasked to repel the threat on the battlefield and earn some rewards in the process.
The Siege Battlefield
Pretty much everything the event has to offer takes place on the Siege Battlefield map. It can be accessed through the overworld map by all characters that are at least level 6. Just like Call-to-Arms everyone is scaled to level 60. Other than most events however, the Siege of Neverwinter lasts for two full weeks and is low on dailies. There is pretty much only one repeatable quest (two if you are in a guild), but if you want you can farm a lot more. Another unique element is that quests grant Tyranny of Dragons currency, making it possible to progress in the campaign while doing the event.
Some tasks grant Defense Supplies, an item that can be exchanged for event currency at?the Defense Supply Master in Protector’s Enclave. Supplies can be exchanged in amounts of one, six and twelve. It’s worth noting that the exchange rates are not truly progressive. While it makes sense to simply exchange twelve supplies most of the time, you’ll get as much?Medal of Heroism?when trading in six and actually more?Dragon Cult Insignia?by exchanging one. So the best amount to choose depends on what you’re looking for.
Players can earn five?Defense Supplies?in their Strongholds by completing the daily quest “Send Aid to Neverwinter“. Sometimes locating the guards around the Stronghold can be a pain. This reddit post has a description of the locations, but you can also always just drop and accept it again. You might get another set of guards.
Siege Defense Effort
Supplies also rarely drop from the Heroic Encounters in the zone, but the best way to amass them is the event profession. Thanks to the temporary Masterwork structures in Strongholds you should be able to buy the requirements in bulk and craft as many Defense Supplies as you need. The profession itself rewards the necessary special asset?Pushcart, higher qualities can be bought in the event store (Cart) or rarely drop from the Heroic Encounters (Large Cart). Since these are unbound, you can also buy them on the Auction House. Profession tasks do not come with additional slots for assets by the way. So the best chance you can get for a tier 2 result and more Supplies is 40%.
Dragon Cult Insignia
Exchanging Defense Supplies nets two different currencies. The first one is?Dragon Cult Insignias, which also drop from each Heroic Encounter on the event map. If you’re only looking for the Insignias, the best way to exchange your Supplies is one by one. It nets more Insignias than exchanging amounts of six or twelve. In most cases that won’t be the case however since the rewards you can buy for the currency are mostly underwhelming or outdated. There are unique Dyes, Fashion and the?Champion's Battle Horn, but make sure to check the AH. The items might be too cheap to go into full grind mode here.
