There’s taking a guided tour, and then there is actually seeing some of the most spectacular moments in Roman History. LivItaly Tours is excited to announce a Virtual Reality Tour through the Colosseum and Ancient Rome. The tour will give clients the chance to see and live history through an exclusive set of VR goggles included in the purchase of the tour. The goggles can be used with LivItaly Tours’ app, available on iOS and android.
Over 4 million tourists visit the Colosseum each year. The VR tour will offer visitors a new way to experience Rome’s most iconic monument. The tour will consist of a three-hour guided walk through the ancient sites with a LivItaly expert professional tour guide. During the tour, clients will be offered the chance to enhance their visit with 6 stops of Virtual Reality recreation of the most historically relevant ruins in Rome. Using custom made VR glasses they will be able to see recreations of the sites they are visiting. Inside the Colosseum, guests will view the magnificent structure as it would have looked in antiquity, complete with a moving Velarium (retractable roof).
“We really can’t wait to offer these enhancements to our clients,” said LivItaly Tours’ founder Angelo Carotenuto. “Technology is the future of travel, and we want to live it with our customers, one set of VR goggles at a time.”
The recreations were created exclusively for LivItaly Tours and will enhance the tour by allowing clients to see visuals of the places while they hear the guide’s stories and explanations.
