Press Release   •   Feb 24, 2010 15:20 EST

Multi-talent sculptor K. De George is tapped to create ten, four feet tall
macaw like figures to be mounted on the exterior facade of the "Camacol Tower", located at 1401 West Flagler Street in Miami's Little Havana neighborhood.

Slated for an April debut, De George's sculptures will be part of Miami's effort to increase awareness and change perception that a commercial / residential complex and art can co-exist for the enjoyment of all. The Camacol Tower is a mixed use state-of-the-art facility that will provide residential and commercial space.

Given artistic freedom from the developers, De George says, "The opportunity to create these pieces for Pinnacle Housing Group's ( newest structure, and showcase my work to the public at the same time is gratifying".

De George's work spans from live action art design (Sesame Street muppets creator Henson Associates, Inc.-Puppet Designer, "Dark Crystal") to commissioned bronze, stone, and wood sculptures for private collectors.  His current works are displayed in (
