PocketMobile and Alcosystems cooperate to offer a mobile solution with a high quality breathalyzer

PocketMobile and Alcosystems have identified a possible cooperation where PocketMobile can offer their customers an end-to-end solution with a breathalyzer connected with a mobile application. Alcosystems has developed an offering that includes a very small breathalyzer - iBAC, with the same reliability that the police are using, connected to a mobile solution. When a user is blowing into the breathalyzer, the result is transferred to a mobile application using Bluetooth, and will be visible in the phone's display. The measured value is simultaneously sent over the mobile network to a central server, at for instance a transportation company, which can then ensure that all drivers are sober. This solution is of interest for many industries where control of alcohol use is essential for safety.        

Thanks to the new fuel cell technology Alcosystems’ iBAC is accurate and also very small and discreet. Today, alcohol creates major problems and costs to society and business. The European Commission published its report on implementation of the EU alcohol strategy in September 2009. It states that alcohol is the third largest risk factor for ill-health in Europe and causes 195,000 deaths each year. Companies within transportation and hazardous environments are forced to take responsibility to control drinking among their employees. Examples are taxi companies which drives schoolchildren, pilots of airlines, boat transportation, nuclear power plants just to name a few. iBAC from Alcosystems allows solutions to easily gain control over alcohol consumption. iBAC offers an effective and unique method for monitoring alcohol at a distance that radically improves quality and reduces costs.
