Scientists from New Zealand and Poland Win the MP-SPR Contest with Research on Switchable Surfaces

BioNavis Ltd. announces the winners of the International Multi-Parametric Surface Plasmon Resonance (MP-SPR) Contest. The winning proposals from New Zealand and from Poland are both based on assessing new types of active polymers. The applications of such smart polymers include solar, biosensors, smart implants, drug delivery, and toxicology for instance.

BioNavis Oy and Episentec AB develop Selectively Amplified Surface Plasmon Resonance (SAMP-SPR)

Traditional surface plasmon resonance (SPR) has been used in drug discovery for more than 20 years. Now, with BioNavis SPR Navi 200 and SPR Navi 220A instruments, SPR phenomena can be used also in biophysics, biomaterials, and biosensor development. Furthermore, SAMP-SPR by BioNavis and Episentec enhances the capabilities of the SPR technology increasing its sensitivity and specificity 100-fold!
