Mar 04, 2013 08:19 EST Kauppalehti, a leading economic newspaper of Finland, has published two articles about BioNavis. The first one is a review of the company development entitled “A Lesson to Technology Companies”, while the second article is an evaluation written by a senior venture capitalist Petri Niemi. Based on BioNavis' performance, the company is expected to grow to a 5-7 million euro business in a few years.
Dec 20, 2012 17:18 EST In 2012, BioNavis Ltd secured five times higher instrument order intake than in 2011. While many companies are forced to restructure their operations, BioNavis has hired several professionals with deep understanding of the technology and its applications in the UK, USA, China, Germany and Finland, effectively doubling the amount of personnel in the company.
May 02, 2012 17:40 EDT BioNavis Ltd. announces the winners of the International Multi-Parametric Surface Plasmon Resonance (MP-SPR) Contest. The winning proposals from New Zealand and from Poland are both based on assessing new types of active polymers. The applications of such smart polymers include solar, biosensors, smart implants, drug delivery, and toxicology for instance.
Feb 01, 2012 15:15 EST Traditional surface plasmon resonance (SPR) has been used in drug discovery for more than 20 years. Now, with BioNavis SPR Navi 200 and SPR Navi 220A instruments, SPR phenomena can be used also in biophysics, biomaterials, and biosensor development. Furthermore, SAMP-SPR by BioNavis and Episentec enhances the capabilities of the SPR technology increasing its sensitivity and specificity 100-fold!
Jan 31, 2012 09:21 EST Selektiivisesti vahvistettu pintaplasmoniresonanssi (SAMP-SPR) yhdistää parhaat puolet leimaamattomista ja leimatuista teknologoista ja näin mahdollistaa kinetiikan reaaliaikaiset mittaukset jopa attomolaarisella herkkyydellä. Teknologian kehittävät yhdessä kotimainen BioNavis Oy ja ruotsalainen Episentec AB.
Jan 31, 2012 06:06 EST Traditional surface plasmon resonance (SPR) has been used in drug discovery for more than 20 years.
Mar 04, 2013 08:27 EST MP-SPR instruments measure label-free •Real-time molecular interactions (on-/off-rates, adsorption, desorption, affinity, concentration, adhesion) •Physical properties (thickness, swelling, mass) •Optical properties (complex refractive index) •Electrochemical behavior on polymers, metals, ceramics, DNA, cell layers in thickness of nms to µms interacting with gas, liquid, nanoparticles.
Dec 20, 2012 09:26 EST The range of sensor surfaces has grown from pure gold and carboxymethyldextran-modified gold to materials previously thought of as impossible for SPR measurements. Thanks to Mutli-Parametric Surface Plasmon Resonance technology, SPR Navi instruments can measure on metal, inorganic, polymer and prefunctionalized surfaces, such as Al, Cu, Ag, Pt, Al2O3, TiO2, PET, PS, PP both in air and liquid.
Dec 20, 2012 09:19 EST BioNavis has introduced two new automated models in the last two years and expanded from the original SPR Navi 200 (semi-automatic) to the SPR Navi 210A (6-sample automation) and the SPR Navi 220A (well-plate automation). All models are based on Multi-Parametric Surface Plasmon Resonance.
Jan 31, 2012 08:33 EST SPR Navi 220A instrument is the only fully automated Multi-Parametric Surface Plasmon Resonance available on the market. It is a high-tech instrument for label-free measurements of molecular interactions (such as kinetics) and material properties (such as thickness, refractive index).
