Halo Genomics appoints VP of Sales and establishes sales office in Cambridge, MA

Halo Genomics moves into the next phase of development and consequently expands its commercial capabilities, with an important hiring and its first offices in the USA.

Halo Genomics has appointed Mr. Mats Bergström its Vice President of Sales. In his new position, Bergström will guide the growth and development of the company’s worldwide sales efforts.

"Mats has an impressive track record of results and solid technology experience. Mats will enable us to accelerate and scale up sales as well as customer attentiveness”, said Olle Ericsson, CEO at Halo Genomics. We are very pleased to have someone with Mats’ years of experience on the team."

Mats Bergström joins Halo Genomics with more than 25 years experience in technology sales, most recently serving as a self-employed consultant in the life sciences area. Mats has held senior management positions in Pyrosequencing AB (now Qiagen) and Applied Biosystems (now Life Technologies).

The new offices in Cambridge, MA will serve as Halo Genomics’ American headquarters. Located in Kendall Square, it will be managed by John Lindsay, Director of Sales and Marketing, North America. John has held senior management positions at Millipore Corp., PerSeptive Biosystems, and Cohesive Technologies.

“The new sales office is an important step in Halo Genomics’ continuing growth as a global company”, said Olle Ericsson. “We have wanted to strengthen our presence in the United States for some time, as the market potential for the HaloPlex PCR product line in the US is significant. Local dedicated personnel will allow us to support current and future customers more promptly.”
