Magnus Gylje appointed as Chief Digital Officer and editor-in-chief for nobelprize.org at Nobel Media AB

Today Magnus Gylje has been appointed as Chief Digital Officer and editor-in-chief for nobelprize.org at Nobel Media. This is a part of Nobel Media's continuous efforts and ambitions of strengthening the position in terms of digital storytelling and concept development.

Previously, Magnus has worked as Head of Concept Development at Nobel Media where he has launched the podcast Nobel Prize Talks and worked with digitalisation and enhanced interactivity in Nobel Media’s growing meeting activities.

Magnus Gylje has a long journalistic background from the Swedish newspaper Svenska Dagbladet, where he developed and was the editor of award-winning cultural magazines and worked with digital storytelling. He has a master's degree in Psychology from Uppsala University and has also studied economics and sociology at the University of Edinburgh and journalism at the University of Stockholm.

"For me, this is an honour and a very exciting mission. The Nobel Prize has a unique position in the world and holds many inspiring and important discoveries, actions, creations and life stories. This is our common history, but just as much our present and future considering the global challenges facing the world. I look forward to developing the Nobel Media’s digital services and deepen the narrating in close collaboration with the users”, says Magnus Gylje.

“We now create a new team working on both digital storytelling and concept development. Magnus takes on the challenge of heading this team from now on, and I think that it is obvious that we in Magnus will get a person with a passionate relationship towards both classic journalism and new and intriguing ways of telling stories digitally", says Mattias Fyrenius, CEO Nobel Media.
