Scientific co-founder of Olink AB and joined the company as Chief Scientific Officer in 2007. Dr. Fredriksson is an inventor of several patents and patent application on solution phase proximity ligation. He developed homogenous PLA during his graduate work and has further expanded the technology into a multiplexed protein detection tool for biomarker research. Previously Dr Fredriksson was a staff scientist at Stanford University working on protein based cancer biomarker detection technologies and high throughput genomics tools.

Simon Fredriksson is taking over from Björn Ekström who has been managing the company since its inception in 2004. At the same time new members of the Board of Directors have been appointed.
