SEKAB launches web pages on sustainability

Dec 13, 2012 08:00 EST To be able to tell you more about our sustainability efforts SEKAB is launching a section on the website dedicated solely to sustainability. SEKAB is one of the largest green tech companies in Sweden and we want to make our contribution to raising the issue of what companies can do to increase awareness of sustainability issues.

Jan 12, 2012 02:00 EST SEKAB is one out of four companies to receive a sustainability decision for biofuels and bioliquids from the Swedish Energy Agency. The sustainability decision is the first ever to be granted in Sweden, which proves that SEKAB’s fuel is guaranteed durable, a prerequisite for obtaining tax exemption for renewable fuels as of February 1, 2012.

Today, 12 of their 70 trucks run on ED95, SEKAB's ethanol-based biofuels for customized diesel engines. However, Kyl & Frysexpressen doesn’t settle for just bio-ethanol fuel, which in itself offers great advantages. The company specifically requests SEKAB’s premium version of ED95,

Moreover, by using SEKAB’s premium product made from second-generation ethanol, a byproduct from existing production, Kyl & Frysexpressen achieves maximal reduction of carbon emissions.

Here our researchers are able to verify and optimise on a large scale processes which have previously been developed in laboratories.
