Volvo victoriously end their STCC era

Volvo Polestar Racing’s C30 car built with composites parts reinforced with TeXtreme® Spread Tow Fabrics won the last race of the 2011 STCC season and this concludes their era in the competition, in which they also won the very first race in 1996.

Volvo Polestar Racing secured the silver in team championship by strong efforts from drivers Tommy Rustad and Robert Dahlgren. Rustad also finished on a strong third place in the driver championship.

Volvo Polestar racing now leaves STCC as the most victorious manufacturer in its history (74 victories and 166 podium placements) to take part in the new championship Swedish Racing League by TTA. Additionally, Volvo Polestar Racing will continue to compete in the WTCC (World Touring Car Championship).
