Tobii Hires Carl Korobkin as Vice President of OEM Solutions

STOCKHOLM, Sept. 27, 2012 – Tobii Technology, the global leader in eye tracking and gaze interaction, announced today that it has appointed Carl Korobkin as U.S. Vice President of Business Development and OEM solutions. Korobkin’s hire will further the adoption and growth  of Tobii’s technologies and solutions into the consumer electronics space as the company moves closer towards the integration of its eye tracking technology in a myriad of consumer and professional devices and ecosystems.

In this newly created position, Korobkin will work with current and future Tobii partners to develop world-class commercial and consumer eye-tracking offerings. Tobii’s award-winning technology is currently be found in numerous applications within the assistive (AAC), CAD, diagnostics, mining, medical, military, research and security industries.

Korobkin brings more than two decades of experience in engineering, business development, and executive management, and is recognized for pioneering leadership in mobile, embedded, and online technologies and services.
Most recently, he was the Director of worldwide strategic sales partner development for Online Media at Dolby Laboratories, where he oversaw home entertainment ecosystems for connected consumer electronics (SmartTV, SmartPhones, PC, Tablets, Blu-Ray, game consoles) for streaming media services such as Vudu, Netflix, Best Buy CinemaNow, and HBO-GO.

Korobkin earned both his Bachelor’s and Master’s of Science in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University in West Lafayette, IN.
