Shazam’s Latest Update for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch Gives Users the Great New iOS 7 Look and Feel

New York and London – September 18, 2013 - Shazam®, the world’s leading media engagement company, today launched a fresh new iOS 7 look and feel along with a host of new enhancements.  These updates give the Shazam App a great new look and feel that is inspired by the new iOS 7 operating system as well as augment the experience with reminders of your last Shazam matches and improved social sharing.  And thanks to iOS 7, Shazam is now quicker to navigate and lightning fast at recognizing music and TV around you.  Shazam is calling the new version Shazam 7.0.

When you download or update to the latest version of the Shazam App on an iPhone, iPad or iPod touch, it is easier than ever to build your music library with reminders of the last thing you Shazamed when you open the app. For all those times you use the app in a restaurant but don’t buy in the moment, this will make those songs more readily accessible.  Plus, you can quickly and easily purchase multiple tracks when you use the “Explore” mapping feature.

Additionally, sharing is faster, easier and more fun than ever with two clicks to post in Facebook.  And the new enhancement lets you include location, friends and comments when you share your Shazams with your friends.  The enhanced Facebook feature follows a recent update to Shazam which makes it easy for your Twitter followers to preview songs you tweet through Shazam.

Recently, Shazam announced that it had been used 10 billion times.  The 10 billionth song was Lady Gaga’s single, “Applause”, which was Shazamed via an iOS device.

Shazam is available from the App Store on iPhone, iPad and iPod touch or at www.AppStore.com/Shazam.
