Inventor of Solvatten, Petra Wadström, wins the DesigNu Award

2 February 2012. In conjunction with the opening of the Swedish Design Hall Stockholm, Petra Wadström has been honored for Solvatten.

The jury stated:

"Solvatten treats water with the energy of the sun. The user-friendly product is ingeniously designed to treat, heat and store water. Solvatten sets an example for how innovation and an in-depth understanding of consumer needs can solve one of the world's biggest problems and save lives."

The organization behind the prize, Formmuseets Vänner, awards the prize biannually to highlight the importance of contemporary design.

More than 500 people attended the truly inspirational event.

SOLVATTEN® is a unique, patented and solar-powered water treatment unit. It is portable and primarily for household use.
