OLYMPIC ATHLETE LAUNCHES WEBSITE ABOUT HEALTH & FITNESS, TRAVEL, AND LIFE IN GENERAL

With high hopes of positively affecting the world around her, Jaime Komer shares her knowledge, experience and passions in life: fitness, traveling, and a healthy lifestyle.

Jaime Komer has pretty much been active from day one. Her positive energy, passion for athletics and competitive drive led her to UCLA, where she played on the women’s water polo team. After earning three NCAA Championships and being a four-time All-American, Jaime took it to the next level.

Combining her love of the sport and her dream of traveling the world, Jaime played for the USA Women’s National Water Polo team. After earning two Gold Medals and one Silver at the World Championships, Jaime went on to earn a Silver Medal in the 2008 Olympics in Beijing, China.

Jaime lives in Orange County with her husband Matt Komer, who played men’s volleyball both at UCLA and abroad. Jaime spends her days challenging and motivating others as a yoga, spin and pilates instructor. She writes for myHealthyOC, an online publication devoted to healthy living in Orange County. In May 2012 she will be traveling to Africa with Kids Play International, a non-profit organization dedicated to educating and empowering impoverished youth through sports.
