Toy’s Fantasy Christmas Collection
Partake in Age-Old German Traditions and Create New Memories With Loved Ones

When the skies begin to burn red at sundown, that’s when the angels above are baking cookies for all the children that have been good throughout the year—this, according to the tradition of the Feast of St. Nicholas. The Feast of St. Nicholas is a centuries-old, German holiday tradition that takes place on December 6th, when St. Nicholas himself delivers the confections baked by the angels to the children on his “nice” list.

According to this long-kept tradition, children leave a boot and a paper plate, or bunter teller, outside of their bedroom doors on the eve of December 5th in hopes that St. Nicholas will stop by. What’s a bunter teller? Translated from German, “bunter teller” means “colourful plate.” Each year, Villeroy & Boch embraces this enchanting tradition with the Toy’s Fantasy collection. The premium porcelain plates in the Toy’s Fantasy collection mimic the design of a bunter teller, featuring a fluted paper plate look. Each year, the Toy’s Fantasy collection is updated with a new motif, making them limited edition collectibles that you can share with your family for years to come!

The 2018 Toy’s Fantasy collection features the classic Christmas color combination of deep reds and classic greens on crisp white porcelain. In the center of the plates are different Christmas scenes that are sure to invoke nostalgia in everyone—telling a story from Santa’s Village, as Santa and Mrs. Claus prepare the gifts and load them onto the reindeer sleigh. The beautiful plates and serving platters in this collection make great keepsakes to pass down through generations and make great gifts! Load them up with holiday cookies and cakes for the
hostesses at your Christmas gatherings! Share in the tradition of the Feast of St. Nicholas with Villeroy & Boch.
