929 000 guest nights was made in hotels and other commercial accommodations in Stockholm County during October 2013. It is an increase by 60 000, +7 percent, compared to the same period last year. Sweden in total experienced an increase of 2 percent during the same period.
Stockholm continues to strengthen its position as one of the top destinations in Europe. In September more than 1 million overnight stays were made in Stockholm. It is a 10 % increase compared to the same month last year. The first nine months surpass last year's result. More than 9 million overnight stays were made in Stockholm County, which is a total increase of 8 % and an All-time-high.

The 2015 cruise season begins on Thursday 30 April with the arrival of the cruise liner the Costa Pacifica. During the season it is expected that 500 000 cruise passengers will visit Stockholm and will spend SEK 0.5 billion.
